Review of Gozu (2003) by Adam B — 09 Jun 2007
Contrary to popular belief, Gozu is Takashi Miike's masterpiece (though, Imprint, Box, and many others are a very close second). Miike's trademark dark humour is consistent through the entire film, and it brings us to a climax (pun intended) that will leave you catatonic for several days on end.
If you were to look up "WTF?" in a Japanese dictionary, you will no doubt find a picture of Takashi Miike. He truly is Asia's David Lynch. See this film, and marvel at its insanity.
