Review of Goya's Ghosts (2006) by Sv G — 26 Jan 2011
This is a fictional story placed in a real historical time with actual historical figures which seems to be what the critics disliked most here; but this fictional take of real life Spanish artist Franesco Goya is still very entertaining and does give us a clear, though snapshot of those times.
Brilliant performance by all involved with major nods to Javier Bardam and Natalie Portman, and a surprisingly very fine, though small supporting role by Randy Quaid as the King of Spain. Total enjoyment of a film.
