Review of Goosebumps (2015) by Ian G — 13 Dec 2015
The film iteration of the popular kids series from the 90's signing in with the new kid on the block moving to a small town and finding out his neighbour is the famous RL Stine, and forming a bit of a crush on his daughter before stumbling on his manuscript collection, accidentily releasing his trademark monsters on an unexpecting town the night of the school dance.
Very much true to the series having some cool monsters ion that kid friendly tween sort of way vaguely cartoony, and the actors are fairly game led my Jack Black. Not meaning to be serious but adds just enough camp to bring the audience for a ride.
Strictly escapist and for the fans.
