Goosebumps was a staple book and a great tv series myself & siblings enjoyed watching.
This is a run of the mill tv to film (long overdue) transition. not very strong on script or performances. lots of the additional effects look rushed and yes its almost supposed to be a B MOVIE homage, but its not quite as gritty, comedic or suspenseful as I anticipated.
Don't rush to see it.
