Jack Black charms in Goosebumps, a fantasy-horror-comedy that benefits from some great special effects, a villain that's the highlight of the entire movie and tons of charm thus making this an improvement over director Rob Letterman's last live-action directorial effort, Gulliver's Travels though the film might be a bit too tense and scary for younger audiences.
