Review of Goon (2012) by Zak S — 21 Aug 2012
Nothing too special, but quite enjoyable nonetheless. Seann William Scott plays a super awkward in a cute kind of way character who's genuineness is fun to watch. Quite the departure from his usual roles or at least the ones he's known for.
Love story is... meh. Big old plot holes with that one. Not super believable at the start, though it does get better. Jay Baruchel is great. Funny guy. I was surprised to see that he cowrote the film.
If you've got 90 minutes and nothing else to do, maybe check Goon out, yeah? [3/5 STARS] [082112].
