Review of Goodnight Mommy (2015) by Michael B — 10 Sep 2015

I was pleasantly surprised at how much this movie could keep me engrossed with such little dialogue. I found myself searching for snippets of information I wouldn't of found if the characters were talking, therefore I found the twist but in the end I didn't care because I wanted to see what would happen and see it all play out.

This movie at times can be slow and I that's why I appreciate the short run time, I feel it was just right and any longer would have only impacted this movie negatively. It goes to show, even with a small budget good "horror" movies can be made even if they are slow at times and so full of horror movie cliches you'll have yourself counting them as you go along.

In the end this movie is a ride, it may be a ride you see coming but it doesn't matter because this movie is original and easily one of the best horror movies of the year.
