Review of Goodnight Mommy (2015) by Austin C — 10 Oct 2015
**SPOILER ALERT** I really wanted to like this movie. I tried throughout the whole thing to find it suspenseful, psychological and scary. It was none. The premise of the movie was very clear to me from the very beginning.
It was slow, so slow that I wished I was getting my legs waxed instead of sitting watching that movie. And believe me, I am a huge fan of foreign movies and find horror and psychological foreign films amazing.
This movie turned into a less disturbing version of the 1972 The Other, only with more graphic scenes that instead of being endearing were just gross. The only 2 feelings I felt throughout the movie were boredom and the occasional disgust of the roaches.
