Review of Goodnight Mommy (2015) by Jenna P — 04 Jan 2016
After a death in the family is the perfect time to go get a facelift and leave your young sons to their own devices. Obviously. In GOODNIGHT MOMMY, a mother does just that, and her boys become increasingly convinced that the woman who returned is not their mother.
This movie is viscerally terrifying - one of our scariest for #31horrors even though we stacked it on POSSESSION. It's a bit of a downer that the twist, which I won't spoil here, is spelled out in the first ten minutes. Perhaps this was intentional, but I think it would have been more effective to sit on it for about half the movie. But I digress - see this movie if you like your pants scared off.
