The trailer does an excellent job of not telling you what this movie is about. SPOILER ALERT: In brief, it's a movie about mental illness which devolves into torture porn. It has a plot twist it clearly thinks is very clever and worth an entire film of build up, but it's so obvious and telegraphed that we figured it out in the first 5 minutes and spent the whole movie waiting for an actual payoff that never arrived.
It's beautiful and well enough acted, but the whole thing hinges on a single cliched plot point and nothing else. No deeper meanings, no interesting messages. Just a plot twist given away almost immediately.
Not recommended.
