You can consider Goodfellas in two ways, one that it is a special film that revolves around it's supporting characters or that a film in which Robert De Niro got top billing because of his star power. Anyway Scorsese's assured direction make this film more watchable than the Francis Ford Coppola films like Godfather series. The acting involved is great, especially from Ray Liotta, Lorraine Bracco and Joe Pesci. You won't believe that this is the same Pesci you saw on Lethal Weapon, wow he is at his best here. The only thing that I don't really like here is that the characters in the film are hard to be liked as they are much the same as in any of the other gangster films, cold hearted self centered brutes.
