Review of GoodFellas (1990) by Marco F — 03 Jan 2018
Along with THE GODFATHER PART 1 and 2, ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA, WHITE HEAT and a few others, this is among the finest American gangster films ever made. Martin Scorsese's near-perfect masterpiece about an outsider who becomes involved with Italian-American organized crime in 1950's to 1980's New York is unparalleled in terms of emotional involvement and personal interest.
A fascinating, almost flawlessly acted epic that is easily one of Scorsese's greatest films and one of his 4 masterpieces.
