Review of Goodbye World (2013) by Elissa M — 08 Apr 2014
This is a movie that really cares about its characters -- it's a credit to both the sharp writing and the great acting that every one feels like a living, breathing person with hopes and fears, carrying around baggage from their pasts with each other.
And seeing all these people collide is one of the many pleasures of seeing this movie. No, there aren't huge literal explosions in the forms of bombs -- instead, we have friendships and marriages breaking apart or coming together, which to me is much more interesting.
The movie also happens to be beautifully shot and well crafted. They don't make many movies like this and that's a real shame.
