Goodbye Solo's strengths lie in the two fantastic leads. Their relationship unfolds in a realistic, beautiful way, and Souléymane Sy Savané especially impresses as Solo. The movie is pretty slow, making the slim runtime seem longer than it is.
But when the performances are this good, and the story this touching, it doesn't matter much. Certainly worth checking out.
