Review of Good Will Hunting (1997) by Mohammad Javad H — 27 Dec 2012
Good movie...
First word for this film is powerful, but that alone is not enough to describe the feelings I have after watching it.
Good Will Hunting is fantastic in almost every way, its writing is fantastic with amazing dialogue and well fleshed out characters who you really care about. The acting is fantastic from every actor involved, I know Ben Affleck gets lots of stick but he's great also, but special praise goes to Matt Damon who portrays the troubled young man to perfection and Robin Williams, who shows what a great actor he can be in the right role, who is the grown up version of Matt Damon who never fully utilized his potential. These are ably supported by the likes of Minnie Driver and Stellen Skarsgard who also put in great supporting roles.
As I said earlier the one thing that stays with you after watching it is the power of the film, this is from the performances and from the story itself. I got pulled in immediately and it never let me go it is an emotional ride but one I would recommend for everyone.
