Review of Good Will Hunting (1997) by Charlie P — 12 Jul 2014
Not often does a debut screenplay quite have the depth of character, faultless humour and the heart of Good Will Hunting. Damon proved his worth sparring with Hollywood heavyweight Williams with a mixture of dialogue that manages to be warmly funny as well as painfully sad when it was required to be.
Damon and Affleck put themselves in the limelight with this instant classic, and confirmed each of them as compelling stars in movies for the 20 years that followed.
