Review of Good Will Hunting (1997) by James T — 12 Aug 2014
Good Will Hunting's complex and psychological character study of a troubled genius not only bolsters an amazing screenplay, but also has a plethora of powerful performances. It avoids melodramatic cliches associated with it's familiar narrative arc and does not cloy, but instead uplifts the viewer and transcends them into a sentimental state that proves to be an entertaining and heartfelt viewing experience.
