Review of Good Night (2008) by Babak I — 13 Sep 2007
I decided to watch this movie after having several strong recommendations to watch it. Based on the cast, it looked rather interesting to begin with but as the movie went along, I found the plot to remain simple and non-progressive.
This film strongly expresses the problem with first-time writers - directing their own films. The best filmmakers rarely work without a co-writer as this allows them to objectively see what works and what doesn't before it is directed to screen.
Yes, this movie certainly has plenty of opportunities to take some interesting paths but watching almost half the movie I noticed that none of these options were explored. I stopped watching at this point.
