Review of Good Night (2008) by Tc M — 07 Jun 2010
This film is very interesting. I must say it's much deeper than it may come off upon first viewing it; whether it grows on you or you simply understand it better. Though some skimmed thoughts, themes, and ideas may seem vaguely expressed, a close (re)examination is owed to its tangible efforts.
In most cases I've seen, you either get it all the way or you don't. It's not the best movie, but it is certainly underestimated. Over all it's very smart and hauntingly real. It's black humored dark atmosphere leaves a sad and enlightening feel post viewing; almost Shakespearean.
I would definitely recommend it to any fan of the indie genre, or simply to someone who just loves film. Having said that, know that this movie's certainly not for everyone. If you want to invest in some intriguingly deep thought, check this one out.
