I agree with the critics, the role of Adrian Cronauer was made for Robin Williams! This is similar to Patch Adams, but one which to me, is more touching, and melancholic. A very good plot, and excellent humour, all to mask the true intent of the film.
.. to depict the Vietnam War the way it ought to be.
