Review of Good Morning, Vietnam (1987) by Brad S — 11 Aug 2014

- Watched yet again, this is my favourite Williams film, it perfectly harnessed his talent, and had both comedy and drama...he really is great in this. I really think there should be a comedy Oscar category, some great performances get overlooked, 2 jump out at me, this and Bridges as Lebowski. Williams was nominated for this, but with a Comedy category, he would've won. In any case, if it's been a while or you've never seen this, give it a watch!

- I just re-watched it and it holds up quite well. It is absolutely the perfect vehicle for Williams' talent as it lets him goes off on his rants, but at times reels him in for some strong dramatic moments. I recommend any fans of his give this one another try, much better than most his new stuff.
