The film had potential. The film wasn't surreal enough to warrent the amount of dysfunction the lead actress portrayed. It took the crazy girlfriend parts of Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and threw out the interesting story.

I enjoyed the part of the guys who worked at a video store since I could relate to that but Jason Ritter's character was supposedly vastly knowledgeable in film but yet only watched one real movie during his relationship with this girl.

I guess when I worked at the video store in college and high school I was watching at least one film a night. Then to make things worse the female character all the sudden changes who she is. Going from fearfully insecure to confident didn't seem real at all.

I guess the film in general felt as false as it could be.
