Review of Good Bye, Lenin! (2003) by Mark D — 13 Jan 2009
Alex's mother, a big supporter of the GDR, falls into a coma the month before the wall falls. When she wakes, Alex tries to disguise the world around her like if both sides (East & West) have never united.
This because of her delicate heart. He can't do much against the huge changes occurring in the East so he makes up fake news to explain them to her. Showing her how maybe he would've preferred the East would've changed.
