I don't hate this movie, but I can understand why critics do. It's silly, it's stupid, but I actually found it rather funny, entertaining and charming. Kel Mitchell is one of the best at playing stupid people and duo of him and Kenan Thompson is pretty dynamic.
All in all, I wouldn't say "awful movie" more like a "stupid funny movie.".
