A comprehensive look at the career of the official truthsayer of 70s US as he starts off with a bang and tragically becomes a parody of himself and is marginalized to the realm of comedy figures. Still, at his best, there is no comparison to Thompson's manic, teeth-grinding writing that showed "just the facts, ma'm".
