Reminds you of everything we've lost since the high priest of freak power drowned in his own fame...great archive footage, sound bites and lost scripts, anger and insanity and car boots full of mescaline.
..the fact he managed to warp reality so far that the wire services started repeating his campaign hallucinations as political fact makes you realise that the Chris Morris cake scandal was small potatoes comapred to the culture-carnage Hunter S was orchestrating.
..he's sorely missed and this movie is a fine tribute. And stay for the Ralph Steadman portraits over the end credits..
