Terrific and relatively unbiased look at the life and work of one of America's greatest modern writers. For me the tragedy of Thompson's life was he became a prisoner of his own fame, which prevented him from publishing even more great work like Hell's Angel's, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Fear and Loathing: On the Campaign Trail '72.
