Review of Gone with the Wind (1939) by Michelle S — 28 Apr 2012
Gone with the Wind is a powerful film, which captured the atmosphere of the American Civil War. This fresco, based on Margaret Mitchell's novel, is unmistakably one the masterpieces of Hollywood's Golden Age, with such mythic figures of American Cinema as Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable and an unforgettable score from Max Steiner.
