Review of Gone with the Wind (1939) by Matt P — 06 Aug 2011
A woman complains about life and having to work and how she hates not being rich and how everyone should just love her while she stomps all over them and fauns over her only true friends husband for 4 hours.
The first 2 hours cover the Civil War. The 2nd half kind of picks up, but for the most part...this movie is literally a woman complaining for 4 hours. In the end, the good people who didn't do anything bad end up dying, and Rhet Butler sums up the whole affair with his famous one liner.
The cinematography is amazing. Other than that, I really see no reason why this movie is considered one of the greatest of all time.
