Review of Gone with the Wind (1939) by Raji K — 20 Mar 2016
Gone with the Wind is simply a movie that broke many molds. The very long film that features tragedy, romance and comedy. The film has great performances and does not shy away from cliche elements such as happy romances.
The film takes place in the prior to the Civil War and covers the War and the live of the south after the War. Gone with the Wind is an epic movie, but for me I found it to be so long and was quite ready for it to be movie.
The movie represents a different era of film making that I can respect, but cannot say ill be revisiting this one. As Clark Gable himself said, this is a woman's movie, and I might have to agree.
