Review of Gone Girl (2014) by Sarath K — 25 Dec 2015
Finally saw this after hearing so much hype for years, and knowing some but not all of its secrets. absorbing. even after some big surprises, we're still in a very plausible little cinematic universe for most of the film.
that's why I felt a bit disappointed after some of the final twists and turns take us out of the realm of plausible character development. still, it's a lot of fun, and it's thought-provoking to see with someone you (mostly) trust.
