Review of Gone Girl (2014) by Jerome P — 12 Nov 2015
I love Fincher, but I found this to be over-made. The production came through while I was watching it, and I found it distracting. As if they were too present. This might be weird to say but the melodrama was too much at times.
How could the characters realistically believe someone acting that way so readily? And I mean with the confines of the world created. Perhaps some moments of subtleness would have benefited it, and still held true to being a bigger-than-life story.
