Review of Gone Fishin' (1997) by Doctor M — 27 Jul 2007
A star for Pesci's presence alone. Had he been absent, this would have been entirely pointless.
There isn't much to say about this dull, unfunny, and mistimed disaster of a comedy, other than the descriptive words used above. The plot is nonsense, and this Cain director struggles heavily in timing and direction.
Pesci once mentioned in an interview that he signed on for this picture for one reason only: money. It's very apparent now why he stated this.
