How did this pass me by until now? And how in the name of Christ did it not get nominated for an Oscar the year Atonement and Juno were contenders? This is an outstanding film, Mystic River all over again.
Can only assume the industry were still unsure of whether or not heaping deserved praise on Ben Affleck would come back to make them look silly. As it happens he's now made several wonderful movies.
He'd do very well to ever better this though. Great film.
