Review of Gone (2012) by Luciano G — 30 May 2012
Went to redbox the other night to rent a movie, haven't watched a new movie in a while and wanted something to watch that was just released. Thank god this was only a dollar. The plot of this movie was decent, but the way that they played it out just didn't make any sense.
Amanda Seyfried plays a young girl who lives with her sister, who disappears one night after she gets home from work. Seyfried assumes its the same guy that abducted her years ago, and she goes on a tear to try to find her and the kidnapper.
Didn't really keep me entertained, the acting was not all that great and it just wasn't a thriller like you would've expected. Needed to be a lot more action and jumpy moments in my opinion in order for it to be a good thriller.
There was also no twists or turns that I think need to be present in a good thriller. Don't waste your time on this one. 2/5 JD.
