This movie tries. it actually keeps you somewhat interested, has a nice suspenseful build up, but then just ends. however predictable this story was, I found it entertaining. but to be honest the core of a cinematic adventure is the audience rooting for the main character to overcome adversity.
in this movie that doesn't really happen. her adversity is so mild it doesn't feel like a big deal at all. I'd wager the writer or director liked the protagonist a bit too much and weren't willing to really put them through the ringer.
as a result the story is thin and so is the character development and the movie quickly becomes a dud.
