Review of Gomorrah (2008) by Richard D — 07 Nov 2014
Here's a crime film that tells it like it is. It's dense, sprawling and utterly unglamourous. It depicts crime and corruption seeping into the very fabric of society and destroying everything it touches.
It's really quite wonderful. It can also be a bit of a tough slog. It doesn't hold the viewer's hand, so you really have to pay careful attention to navigate the maze of characters. It's immensely rewarding if you do though.
