Goldfinger, the third film in the Bond franchise, is considered by many to be the best one of all of them. This time around, James Bond (Connery), the suave, sophisticated, spy about town has to foil Auric Goldfinger (Frobe) who plans to contaminate the gold reserves at Fort Knox.

This Bond film was the first to make those fantastic gadgets an integral part of the movie and introduced us to the Aston Martin. It also marked departure from the earlier films in that it introduced more humor and didn't take itself so seriously.

Love them or hate them, this is when the really cheesy one- liners become firmly embedded into Bond culture. Auric Goldfinger is a more low key villain than many others but his mute hat- throwing henchman Oddjob (Sakata) must surely rate as one of the most memorable sidekicks in the series.

Even more than 40 years old, it's still pretty risque for it's time. Pus*y Galore (Blackman) was one of the few Bond girls to really have much in the way of character and intelligence. While most are simply required to look great and sigh 'Oh James!' on cue, Blackman's charm, and some neat writing, made her strong character unforgettable, and quite frankly made her my favorite Bond girl to date.

This is a great movie, a must- see, and if you're a true James Bond fan, you have to see this.
