Review of Goldfinger (1964) by Eric M — 01 Aug 2014
Goldfinger was the first Bond film I ever saw and it was the Bond film thay got me hooked on this series. It has action, espionage, romance, there's a little something for everybody. The acting is superb and the film does not suffer from bad pacing like other Bond movies do.
Connery is great as 007 as usual, Honor Blackman plays one of the best bond girls, and Gert Fröbe gives an amazing performance as the title character. Highlights include: the unforgettable Shirley Bassey theme, the popular villain Auric Goldfinger giving his most memorable lines, the scenes with Pussy Galore, and the awesome fight between Bond and Oddjob.
Like many have said before, this may be the best Bond film of the series.
