Review of Goldfinger (1964) by Martin D — 17 Nov 2011
The one with the woman painted Gold and the first to feature probably Bonds best car the DB5 with ejector seat!
Goldfinger himself is a brilliant villain with his henchman the memorable Oddjob and his killer bowler hat. As for the story itself its maybe slightly on the dodgy side with Goldfinger trying to blow up the Gold in Fort Knox to increase the value of his own, if he has not got enough already! The badly named Pussy Galore played by Honour Blackman can come across as irritating and Bond seems to change her mind too easily to show the error of her ways. Besides this Goldfinger is a cracking James Bond film very fast paced and very entertaining with a great ending and a brilliant soundtrack.
