It's unquestionable that Sean Connery is as good a Bond as any, and quite possibly the best of the entire series. His 007 embodies all the traits Fleming's hero should; he's cunning, charming, sophisticated, and above all, ruthless.
As for Goldfinger, it's a quintessential testament to spectacle driven filmmaking and one of the greatest action films of all time.
