Review of Golden Door (2006) by Laura L — 22 Jul 2007
If one has any interest at all in where they come from, this film will present you with a superbly unfiltered version of what it was most probably like during the period for most immigrants. Though Gainsbourg's sidestory seems to be distracting from the main focus of the family's plight, it adds an another sense of what lengths people went to in order to truly taste freedom.
