Review of Going in Style (2017) by Tee R — 08 May 2017

I think there is a tendency to dismiss some movies and not give them the credit they deserve. Case in point - Going on Style. It's about seniors, portrayed by seasoned actors - that's two strikes against it before the opening credits.

It's ok to have one older actor mixed with a cast of younger stars, but a cast of seniors is presumed to be boring. But, this was an entertaining movie. We had already seen two movies this week that were, at best lackluster, so we asked the theater ushers.

Two of them recommended Going in Style. They were right. It was a pleasant surprise. It's not a super movie, it's just a well done fun movie. One of the better films we've seen in a while.
