Review of Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973) by Steve C — 18 Nov 2007
The best of the worst of Godzilla! I'm not sure why there's a car chase in this movie, but there is. It features a bright orange right-hand-drive VW Type 3 (with optional full-length canvas top and no hubcaps) and a cherry-red Fiat 850 sedan (40hp / 834cc engine!) .
..and they're followed by a man on a Suzuki GT750 motorbike. Strange. But anyway, what makes this the best of the worst are the kaiju fight scenes -- poorly acted, poorly choreographed, and sloppy -- when Godzilla fights Megalon everyone wins.
Except for the dwellers of Seatopia.
