Review of Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989) by Sean C — 03 Aug 2011
This is a film that did not know what it wanted to be. The monster fight felt injected, as if the filmmakers decided the darker tones of Godzilla 1985 were insufficient. Yet those tones are still here, mixed with spy movie stuff.
Still I liked it for its off the wall aspects and some badass scenes. Biollante's final form looked great.
