Review of Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters (2017) by Dane W — 19 Jan 2018
Godzilla: Monster Planet has CG that resembles "Blame!" But are improved and while watching, the CG is a better choice than hand-drawn animation. The characters are forgettable, not that they're terrible, but nothing about them stands out to be memorable.
The story focuses more on the humans and aliens more than they do Godzilla, but that happens in every Godzilla film. In all honesty, GMP is not great, it's actually boring for the first hour until that last half hour, but even then nothing about it had me wanting more.
After watching, I could care less if I never watch it again, the only reason will be cause there's two more and if I wanted to watch a Godzillathon. Is GMP terrible? No. Is it great? Not even, it's just a mediocre film for 1 hour then a solid last half hour film.
