Review of Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla (2002) by Andrew R — 26 Jul 2007
The fourth installlment in the millenium series pits the new-improved godzilla against a mechanised version of himself and created from the original Godzilla's DNA by the Japanese Government. Not only is mechagodzilla proficent in the arts of wrestling and judo, but he also comes equipped with the 'Ultimate Zero Cannon', a laser which reduces the targets temperature to true zero temperature (around -273 degrees).
This film is well directed, well cast and well, bloody brilliant to see. It's a kaiju movie, so don't expect too much in the way of scientific accuracy or complex plot development. This film merely offers you two guys in monster suits battling to the death.
