Every monster movie ever made is referenced here - Jaws, Alien, Cloverfield, King Kong, Jurassic Park, The Iron Giant - but with little of their wit or intelligence. A clichà (C)d script delivered clunkily by good actors horribly miscast.
But it's a hundred times better than the abysmal Roland Emmerich mess and watchable. Why Bryan Cranston has dyed brown hair is never revealed.
