Review of Godzilla (2014) by Dan M — 12 Feb 2018
One of those films I was excited about but was also worried about it being a disappointment just like the 1998 version but it turns out it was very entertaining, It starts pretty slow while we get introduced to all the cast, Infact it takes around 30-45 minutes to introduce Godzilla and the Kaiju or as they're known in this as M.
U.T.O. (Yes that's right there's more than Godzilla that's causing problems) Infact it's the M.U.T.O. that cause the most problems while Godzilla is turned into the hero, Just like in Gareth Edwards Monsters it's got allot of human screen time when all we want to see is giant monsters smash up cities and kick the crap out of each other, It takes a long time to see what we were waiting for and Godzilla's screen time is suprisingly short, The effects were fantastic but the 3D didn't really make a difference and not worth paying extra for, Eventually we see quite a huge destruction of the city, It's nothing like the previous attempt at Godzilla as it's way better and not to be missed.
