I can't believe it, but Warner have achieved what first looked impossible to me: making a worst film than the Roland Emmerich 1998 version. This Godzilla is just boring and way overrated. Only the CGI are correct, but otherwise nothing to save here.
Useless characters, lazy writing and awful original score from Alexandre Desplat (why the hell they didn't hired David Arnold from the previous Godzilla, or at least Tyler Bates...) are the only things that I can remember.
The direction was ok enough and the final battle sequence wasn't great but still effective but this is overall more a disappointment than anything other.
